Sex and Media - Sex and Youth

Sorry for the time away...I have been enjoying a few days away from the microphone to enjoy the wonderful Canadian weather.

Today...we are discussing Sex and the Media and the consequences it has with our youths. We provide some interesting statistics and hopefully some provocative discussion on the topic. The idea for this episode came from the recent news in the U.K. regarding a young man (13yrs old)who allegedly happened to get a 15 year old girl pregnant. I was getting a little sick of the social conservatives "wondering" how this could happen after they spend millions of dollars lobbying government to stop sex education and the availability of contraceptives in public school systems. I hope you enjoy it and like always...I would love to hear your comments. Reach us at canadian.politico@gmail.com or just leave a comment.

This is a longer audioblog...we go through information regarding: employment in the auto sector in Canada, the history of the Auto Pact, some recent articles about what we may need to do to resolve the current auto crisis (protectionism vs. free markets) and of course...some opinion. The audio has improved in this episode...so enjoy.

A discussion - The "Post Materialist Thesis"

The "Post-Materialist Thesis" is the belief that to live harmoniously in a "global village" citizens of developed nations must lower their standard of living and curb their desire for material wealth to ensure the growing populations around the world are able to have some reasonable form of existence.

Do you believe this is possible? Take a listen and explore the discussion.

The Priority of Military Funding in Canada- scientific and technological advances in non-violent action?

Here is the first audioblog...in .mp3 format...click on the link and you can stream it from the hosting site or download it and take it with you. I don't know why I started with military funding but I figured it would be a start. From my perspective...the world is still too nasty a place for flower power. Sorry about any audio quality issues...I am still trying to work things out.
